Our History
Newberry Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Clinic, Inc. was founded by Dr. Mark A. Waldrop in 1996. Dr. Waldrop had worked in Newberry for 2 years in the early 1990's and realized the need for an outpatient physical therapy facility. NPT started out in a 1000 square foot facility in a strip mall and has since expanded two times-once in 1999 and again in 2008. NPT now occupies a 5,000-square foot building with 3 full time Doctors of Physical Therapy. Our services have expanded from treating general orthopedics to an all-inclusive outpatient facility.
2016 Facility of the Year
In 2016 Newberry Physical Therapy was honored as the Facility of the Year by the SC Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association.
