Professional Background
Dr. Mark Waldrop is the founder and director of Newberry Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Clinic. Additionally, he is the President and co-owner of Chapin Rehabilitation Clinic in Chapin, SC.
Mark completed his undergraduate studies at the University of South Carolina-Aiken in 1991, majoring in Biology and working as an athletic trainer and strength & conditioning coach. In 1993, Mark graduated with honors from the Medical College of Georgia. After directing a rural county hospital PT department for 2 years, he entered private practice in 1996. Dr. Waldrop enjoys lecturing at Universities on physical therapy subjects, teaching select classes at the University of South Carolina, and teaching PT and PTA students from six different Universities. He was awarded the Clinical Instructor of the year in 2002 at USC. Mark furthered his studies in 2003 and finished his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Rocky Mountain University in Provo, Utah in 2005.
He was a senior instructor for the Spinal Manipulation Institute (SMI) and taught seminars across the U.S. He currently teaches the IASTM fellowship course for the American Academy of Manual Therapy through SMI. He is a published author and researcher with JOSPT, and his research interests include spinal diagnostic rules and interventions. Mark is a member of the APTA, SCAPTA and Orthopedic Section. He is the developer of the FRAMS technique and sold the FRAMS trademark and company to the SMI in 2015.
Personal Biography
The most meaningful things in his life are his personal relationship with God, his wife, two precious daughters and his grandchildren. He enjoys golf, weightlifting, and watching The Carolina Gamecocks play football!

Professional Background
Dr. Lukas Daniel has worked at Newberry Physical Therapy since graduating with his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2019. Lukas received his B.S. in Health Science from Clemson University in 2016. His clinical interests include working with the teenage athlete, infants/toddlers experiencing developmental delay, and the special needs population. He also enjoys serving as a clinical instructor for PT/PTA students from universities throughout the state.
Personal Biography
Lukas married his wife Francie in March 2021, and they are expecting their first child in May 2024. His family lives in Columbia, SC, and he is an involved member at Shandon United Methodist Church. On the weekends, Lukas enjoys spending time outdoors on his family farm in Hemingway, SC. He is an avid hunter, huge Clemson football fan, and enjoys attending country music concerts in his free time.

Professional Background
Dr. Andrea Getz received her Bachelors of Science in May 2020 from Newberry College while she played Women’s Basketball. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May of 2023 from Methodist University in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Upon finishing her education, she decided to return to Newberry and provide Physical Therapy Services at the clinic that got her “Back to Life” when she required PT. Her clinical interests include working with patients with Parkinson’s Disease, neurological disorders, and gait / balance impairments.

In her free time, Andrea enjoys going on adventures, reading a good book with a view, or spending time making memories with her family.
